Five turnarounds in B major
Nathaniel School of Music, 2026
- Key
- B major
- Form
- 5 turnarounds × 2 bars, then home
- Level
- 6
The two bars that send a tune back to the top, five ways, in rootless voicings: diatonic, with secondary dominants, and with tritone substitutes. The iii chord is a plain m7 (its 9th would clash with the key); VI7 takes b9 and b13 because it leads to the minor ii chord.
