The rule
A piece is free here only when both are true:
- India: every author died before 1 January 1966.
- USA: it was first published in 1930 or earlier.

How it is read
Every page is read twice, by two independent readers who never see each other's work. A page opens only after the two readings are compared and every difference is settled against the scan.
